Kenneth L. Hooper, equity shareholder at Hearne & Bailey, P.A., passed away on November 28, 2020.

Kenneth L. Hooper was engaged in the general practice of law with an emphasis on banking, commercial, corporate and real estate law. Mr. Hooper represented several regional and local banks in foreclosures and commercial collections/workouts, and served as Counsel to The Town of Willards.

Mr. Hooper was admitted to the Maryland Bar in 1983 and joined the Delaware law firm of Ridgely & Ridgely, P.A., with offices in Dover, Delaware, and Georgetown, Delaware. Since 1984, Mr. Hooper practiced in Salisbury, Maryland and prior to joining Hearne & Bailey, P.A. in 2002, was a co-founder and partner in Mitchell & Hooper.

Mr. Hooper obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (Major: History; Minors: English and Political Science) (Summa Cum Laude, 1980) and obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Baltimore (1983). He was a past member of the Board of Directors of the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce, chairing the Local Legislative Committee. In addition, Mr. Hooper was a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the Wicomico County Bar Association. Mr. Hooper was also a member of The Church of the Nazarene. He resided in Worcester County with his wife, Jeannine, and has two adult daughters, Brandy and Bethany.
